MODAT in ASTRO25 radios?
I was looking through akardam's decoder, and noticed that MODAT is listed as an option for astro25 portables. Is this for if/when LAPD upgrades? Or is it just for backwards compatibility in general? Also, what kind of headaches would the average Joe go through to get this in their flashcode (and at what price $)?
Re: MODAT in ASTRO25 radios?
Not going to happen in an Astro25 radio.. It comes up as an invalid option when trying to add it to a flashcode.

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

OK, so I guess it's just something on the decoder then. Thanks!

It also shows up in the Flashport section of the CPS, if you read the radio's configuration.. There is a list of flash options, but that one just lingered around from the earlier days of Astro, and does not apply to this series.
