I am interested in adding a mobile microphone to our Zetron 4010 consoles...has anyone attempted this? I see there is a green Aux audio connector in the back of the console as well as a headset connection. I am wondering if I can use the headset jack for microphone use, and not the speaker. I would need to keep the gooseneck mic in operation as well. Anyone know what the pinout map is on the headset jack and or Aux Audio connector? Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Moto Mobile Mic -> Zetron
The issue here would be switching the mic or audio input that would be hot for the appropriate mic. If you used the headset input, you would have to force the console to the headset mode or input. I recall this also switches receive audio, possibly creating a problem.
Could you have an external switch to switch from the palm mic to the console gooseneck? Something to isolate one mic element from the other? I suppose you could wire a relay that opens or switches the mic element audio path when the hand mic PPT is depressed.
