CM300 to Rigblaster

I have followed the steps to a T and re checked my wiring using the guide from this site http://www.w2ymm.net/hookup.html
the rigblaster does not key the radio even after playing with the levels the only difference is that his rigblaster is a M8 and mine is a Nomic
when I unplug my rigblaster it keys the radio till i remove pin 4 any one have any idea or can help with the hookup i am using the mic port on the front of the radio
