Astro Spectra Plus Control Head Swap

Not sure if this has been answered, I searched but couldn't locate anything. SInce the AS Plus uses the same software as an XTL5K, does anyone one know if you can swap the control head types like you can on an XTL? I'm aware there would need to be a hardware swap to change to a HHCH just like in the XTL, but is the option there to do it? Has anyone done it successfully?

My understanding is that unless the radio's model includes a W1, vice W3/4/5/7/9, that the software will not let you change the control head type.

The astro spectra plus does NOT support control head swapping like the XTL5k does. The CPS does not allow you to click that drop done option when an Astro Spectra Plus codeplug is loaded in the CPS.

I have change a W5 to a W7. the problem is that no all the buttons work. Work like a W5. It still work like a W5.

What radio is it: Astro Spectra, Astro Spectra Plus or XTL5000?

If its anything other than an XTL5000 it takes more work than just changing the control head out.
