CPS Version Question...

Post by Gman »

Hello all.First I would like to know which latest CPS does the Astro Spectra mobiles? Also, which is the latest CPS for the XTS-5000? Which was the latest for the XTS-3000 and Astro Saber? Is the newer XTS-5000 able to do the 3000,or is the CPS different all together? Sorry for the multiple questions, but you guys are the experts.....

P.S.-I am not asking for the software itself, just the versions..Thanks

I believe that the Astro 25 current version is R10 for both. However, you don't want to use is unless you are
willing to update the radio firmware also. You will also get into some issues with functions. You would be best
to stay with version R09 at the present time. This is RVN4186 and does the XTL mobiles and the XTS5000
portables

The Astro Spectra is RVN4183 and I believe the current version is R05.02.00

The XTS3000 is another story. You will need RVN4182 for the CPS. I believe that R05.02.00 is the current
version.

RVN4181AB R10.01.00 for the Astro25 portables

RVN4185Y R10.00.00 for the Astro25 mobiles

RVN4182V R05.02.00 for the Astro/Saber portables

RVN4183V R05.02.00 for the Astro/Spectra mobiles

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
