Transmit Problems with XTL 2500

Post by kross1256 »

I have recently programmed a Motorola XTL 2500 RADIO but although it can recieve I cannot transmit, when attempting to transmit there is a solid output tone and solid red light, does this problem sound familiar I am thinking it might be a programmming error that I did.Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you made a programming error the CPS would probably not allow you
to load the program into the radio. The red light is indicative
of RF output and is normal. Have you checked to see if you are
actually getting RF out, regardless of the tone?

As a starting suggestion in addition to checking for RF output,
go to the view menu on the CPS see if you have any red flags
showing, though as I said above you shouldn't be able to program
the radio if any red flags are showing.
