AS3 question

Post by jban »

Aquired a VHF AS3 a couple weeks ago. Flash = 440001-000000-7 system package H35. Does have the encritpion module. Anyway, just thought I would play around with it. However, Firmware is 2.2.xxx. I am not going to spend a lot on it but was wondering what it would run to upgrade the firmware to enable narrowband? It is a 10/10 and works flawlessly. I can use it as is besides free ain't bad.

I believe it's $75 flat rate for firmware upgrade. You may be able to do so from a dealer for a equal/cheaper price.

Post everything you see when running the radio through test mode. Pay particular attention to the letters before the numbers in the host/dsp test screens, as they indicate what the Vocon size is in the radio.

Keep in mind astro sabers are no longer factory supported radios, so unless your a huge customer, I doubt you'll be able to get it upgraded.

Thanks all. Alex, it is a 1 meg vocon. I will check and see if someone local can handle this for me.
