Hi,
I was hoping someone could help. Either I am a complete idiot (which is possible) or am just missing something. I am trying to add some interop freq's to our radios, and the repeater has a NAC of $653. I thought it would be in the zone assignment the Network ID but it won't accept the 653 or the $653. What am I missing?
THanks
Keith

Re: P25 NAC Programming
I have had no difficulty inputting NACs into the Tx Network ID and Rx Network ID fields on the zone/channel screen.
Be sure the personality selected for this channel is defined as "Astro" and is not trunked.
Oh, and forget the "$". That is informal notation used by some to signify a hex number; same as "653h". Is not part of the number and doesn't get typed in.

Re: P25 NAC Programming
Thanks,
I just tried it in my version 10 an it works, the last version on 9 that the tech was using seems to return it to 293, not sure why, but I am having him upgrade. Odd...

Re: P25 NAC Programming
We are holding at 8.something, as both 9 and 10 are reported to have "issues."
Re: P25 NAC Programming
It could be that you have the individual personalities 'receive unmute rule' set for DIGITAL CSQ in which case it will ignore the NAC code in the zone channel field.
This happens because DIGITAL CSQ opens up to all P25 NAC codes just like using NORMAL SQUELCH with a NAC code of F7E.
