CDM1550 question!

Hello all,

I want to know what is the differences between CDM1550.LS and CDM1550.LS+?
Which one can be programmed 128/160 conventional channel?

The + model does either passport or LTR trunking, I can't remember off hand.

The important thing to remember for the 128 channels is the end of the model number. You want to to end in either:

AA5AN or DP6AN or DU6AN

Most on eBay are DP5AN, and will only do 16 conventional channels I believe. AA is conventional-only operation, and the DP and DU are for trunking, and that's why you need the 6 in the model number. Hope this helps, as I only have limited experience with CDMs.

Think of it like this:

The CDM1550LS+ is a combination of the CDM1550 and the CDM1550-LS.

Ah, but only if the model# ends with 6AN...if it ends with 5AN, it's identical to the CDM1550-LS.
