xts5000 programming

xts5000 programming

Have a quick question. I have the programming software for the MTS2000 (yes its a legal copy) RSS R.06.00.00 and was wondering being that it can program the mts2000 can i program the xts5000 with that software? Im sure i might have to buy new software, but just wondering if this will work. I dont want to try and brick my radio so thats why i asked.

No it will not work. You need Astro25 portable CPS and the ribless (either serial or USB) XTS5k programming cable.

None of your MTS2000 stuff will work at all.
