Motorola t30XX Keyloader question

Is there any way to convert a t3014dx dvp-xl keyloader into a t3011dx des-xl keyloader? I know there are abc to dx conversions, but I didn't know if it was just a chip change inside or if they used different boards inside.

The internal boards are different and the hybrid is different too.I dont think its ever been successfully done..

It's been a while so bear with me...

I know you can change the DVP-XL model to the T3011*X, because I did it about ten years ago. I had to swap the hybrid to a TRN7036 and firmware, but I don't remember about the serial EEROM. I can't remember the P/N's of the loaders, but if yours is a DVI, I don't know if you can do it or not. I got my paws on a bunch of DVP-XL loaders at a great price, and just for S&G, I decided to give it a whirl. It worked fine. DVI; I don't know...

Mine is a dvp-xl I will have to see if the hybrid is available still.

The hybrid is probably still available, because it was used in a LOT of different applications. Now; whether or not you want to pay Motorola's price is entirely up to you...

I have quite a few that are laying around from various conventional Spectras if you're interested.
