Vocoder Help!

Post by radios4bill »

Hi Group; I have a question! I purchased some 512k Boards from one of the members and when I put them in a radio (800MHz) I get "Fail001 I am guessing that it is because they are for another band? So If I was to get a S-Record for a 800 MHz AS III 512k is that all I would need? If I have a working radio can I use that radio to create a S-Record? Thanks, Bill

FAIL 001 indicates VCO out of lock. Yes, you will need to force-feed them with an appropriate s-rec, and then perform a full alignment (this step is very important and needs to be done by someone qualified and with the appropriate test equipment).
