Can you read an XTS5000 with a Jedi cable?

Post by Elroy Jetson »

Can an XTS5000 be read with a Jedi programming cable? I'd hate to spend the money for a new USB XTS5000 cable if I don't have to.

Last time I tried... no. But I also don't have a factory Jedi cable either.

No, the 1500/2500/5000 platform radios (both portable and mobile) require their own programming cables, and can not be used with the older ones, even though they look similar.

Well, there was a diagram of a homebrewed Astro25 Portable cable in this thread, but the image link died.
