Can an XTS5000 be read with a Jedi programming cable? I'd hate to spend the money for a new USB XTS5000 cable if I don't have to.

Last time I tried... no. But I also don't have a factory Jedi cable either.

No, the 1500/2500/5000 platform radios (both portable and mobile) require their own programming cables, and can not be used with the older ones, even though they look similar.

yeah, sign me up too
using anything other than a real cable on a 5k is akin to using 400grit sandpaper to clean the crystal on my rolex
