I need this cable for the MW800. Its the internal GPS to back of computer cable (brings the internal antenna connector to the back of the unit with the rest of the RF connectors). Part number is 3087568V12.
Now, parts ID states its customer orderable, but when you go to order it, the computer states depot only item. Now, I talked to service who stated the only way around this, is to flat rate the computer (at $550) for a $10 cable. Of course, I gave them the oh so hearty FU. They did state, that some MSS have been able to get stuff like this before, sometimes with or without help from their Moto sales guy.
Questioin is, is there anyone here who can actually get this ordered for me?
Reply here or PM...thanks!

Pj,
Did you try to search Batlabs Vendors (Beta) Site?
Here's escomms information:

Perhaps he can get this cable assembly at a reasonable price. Generally the 30 numbers go into higher level kits like 01-807xxXxx or DLNxxxxA when they are uploaded into the Motorola computer's inventory control system which covers the "X" Options, the Kits and the Piece Part break downs. These "30" numbers are not even built by Motorola, they're built by an outsourced vendor to the Product Group's Global Engineering Specifications and Standards.
The Product Group's Marketing personnel multiply the cost many times over what it really cost and then passes it on to the end users. That's why the people here on BatLabs all feel they're being bent over for a $10 part. Motorola like so many of the U.S. manufactures are in business to make money, not to give the equipment away and promote a better relationship with their customers and end users. I didn't write the marketing rules, I had to work within the guidelines when I was employed at the Circle M Ranch.
I did not state that it's right but on the over hand, this is what is being driven by our Corporate American Companies and our throw away society.

Re: Need some MSS oober ordering assitance
I'll be seeing Jeff this week, and another member is working on this as well for me.
Another simple solution, and as I suck making cables... if anyone here is able to make a SMB to bulkhead TNC jack 5" cable, I'd be interested in that as well.

No joy with them..they are in the process of starting to sell them, but haven't gone "live". According to the girl I spoke with, that's not even suppose to be on the site yet... oh well.
