Commander II Mic, quality defect, upcoming FSB

Post by escomm »

All,

The RMN5089A mic is on hold at Motorola. Apparently it is not compatible with UHF R1 radios. VHF and 700/800 radios are not affected.

Motorola is currently in the process of having certain components recertified, and it will be at least 6-8 weeks before the RMN5089B revisions hit the street.

There will be an FSB issued once the new mics are available, and the A revision mics will all be exchanged under warranty or the FSB.
