Spectra RF Modem question

When I get to the part where it says hit F8 to enable the RF Modem, a Red warning box pops up:

This ROM will not allow RF Modem.
To be disabled once enabled.
F2 - To enable anyway.
F10 - To abort operation.

Common sence tells me that if I hit F2 and enable the RF modem my radio will be that way permantly.

So the big question here is if I hit F2 and enable the RF Modem will the radio be stuck in the that mode permantly?
