XTS5000 with mulitple algorithims

Post by GEMOTO »

Hello All,

I have an XTS5000 M3 FLASHcode: 5400080004860 Firmware: 11.00.00 and DSP: 11.00.00.

I have an encryptuon board that Supports DES-OFB and DES-XL.

It shows as: KG1:DES-OFB, KG2:DES-XL.

I have multikey installed.

I have an ASTRO Spectra with a DES-XL only module installed. I keyed both radios with the same key (KVL3000) but they wont talk. I suspect that the 5000 is sending DES-OFB instead of DES-XL. I just can't figure out a way to make it know which algorithim to use.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Did you try Conventional>Conventional Personality>Conventional Personality X>Secure>DES-XL TX Default checkbox, for whichever conventional personality is being referenced by the Zone Channel you're trying to use?

Its actually on a trunking personality. SmartZone ASTRO 4.1. I'll take a look to see if there is anything i missed, but i don't think so.

I did what you said and checked the DES-XL tx default box on the conventional channels so when i talk from XTS to SPECTRA on an ASTRO Conventinal channel it works fine. But there is no where to set the radio to TX DES-XL in trunking mode, it seems to default to DES-OFB.
