Hi, I have a PURC 5000 with the advanced control shelf, and I am trying to figure out how to bypass the PA and just run off of the IPA(driver) stage. I have seen a low power PURC that does this, but I have not seen any documentation on how to do this, or if special parts were required. Simply unplugging the small Molex connector with the alarming/metering leads shuts the station down. I am thinking that there has to be a way around this, as I'd like to use the station to drive a different PA. Any ideas?

My two bits worth:
To operate on the IPA, you have to in some way duplicate the signals present on the gray cable going to the amp.
The thermistor can be simulated with a resistor. The forward power could come from a watt meter element as in the MSF or a resistive divider to simulate the forward power detector voltage so that the power control circuits on the UNIBOARD can operate normally.
The low power version of the MSF has only a circulator, and watt meter detector in the module that mounts in the place of the PA. Same size as the 40W PA with out power leads.

There doesn't seem much info available, do you have an idea where I might be able to get my hands on it?
It appears not to use the RSS programmer but gets it info from the front panel if the right dipswitch settings are made on the control board.
