Converting 450 Maxtrac to 420 maxtrac

Converting 450 Maxtrac to 420 maxtrac

Hi, is there any way to convert a 450 maxtrac to do 420? for a link radio?

Replace the RF and PA boards with the low split ones.
They did make a 403-430 Maxtrac and GM300.
I have tried tweaking the VCOs, you can go down into the 430s but they get squirly in the 420s. You could find a manual to see what parts are different, but it is not simply spelled out, and the parts may be NLA.
