ASTRO Spectra

Post by GEMOTO »

I am trying to get Detector Audio from Pin 11 on the accessory connector. I am using Pin 8 as ground.

When listening to this I get nothing. My intended use is for a Motorola Trunking program (UniTrunker/Trunker).

I heard somewhere this is not standard as on an Analog Spectra and that there is a jumper(s) setting(s) that need to be made in order for this to work.

Any help would be appreaciated.

Thanks.

Looking at the schematic for the command board, I see Pin 21 on the connector going back to the PA and accessory connector labeled as "DISC_AUD/RX_RS232_IN". The only available jumper I see on this line is JU519 which connects it to pin 6 of U526, which is labeled as "RX_out".

Here's a cap of the board layout showing where JU519 is located (looking at the top of the board; it's outlined in red.) If it's already installed, then.. I dunno.

Can you show where JU528 is? I figured I need JU519 out and JU528 in.

Good find. I show it to be in-line with Pin 13 of the control head connector, which (bet you'd never guess) is labeled "DISC AUDIO." Pin 5 is labeled "DISC AUDIO2."

edit: JU528 is also labeled "DO NOT PLACE" on the schematic.
