Sounds on Astro Saber at scan beginning/resuming/cancelling

Post by MotoFAN »

Hi all!

Any way to to force Saber to make sounds at the scan beginning/resuming and cancelling?

It, for example, is conveniently made in WARIS radios - 4 beeps at the beginning/resuming, and 4 boops at a cancelling.

But I ASIII at such operations remains completely silent :(

I have examined CPS, but have not found the necessary options.

Any ideas?
I am biggest fan of XTS2500 and ASTRO Digital Saber.

If your using the A/B switch, you will not hear a sound...unless you enable the pri scan alert tone which will only make a sound when your pri channel is active.

Aside from that, you can program one of the buttons as your scan on/off, and that will make a single beep when you enable/disable scan.

The only ASTRO radios that I have heard anything other than the beep are the XTL's with recent firmware that gives you a high/low - low/high sound when its turned off/on.

So, the short answer is no.

My HT1250 (with current firmware) will only give a low/high - high/low sound when scan is turned on/off. Never noticed that it could do a 4 beep sound on the on/off, and never heard one that did (doesn't mean that it can't, just never heard one since they have been out).

It not that I want :)

It's the same for beginning/resuming/cancelling? Or different?

XTS2500/XTS5000 also can't do what I want?!?

Sorry, I mean EMEA Waris aka GP300/GM300 Professional Series, for e.g. GP340. They sounds as is described by me.
