Some XTS5000 Questions

Post by NSPD »

Not having the correct model sitting in front of me to experiment with... I am wondering a few things....

1) What is the maximum number of scan lists the Model 3 is capable of doing?

2) What is the maximum number of channels/talkgroups allowed in each zone?

3) If you were to change the rotary control to zone select, and add the CHAN item to the menu, and then assigned the concentric switch to scan list edit, how would the channel selection be handled? I know that with the rotary knob set to channel select and a ZONE item in the menu lets me scroll through zones by pressing either left or right on the navigation button, but does it work the same way if the rotary knob is set for zone select?

Thanks!

I'm not sure how much has changed from the 3000 to the 5000, but as far as scan list programming is concerned, on the 3000 you can change the rotary switch to channel select I believe, but also using the arrows might scroll through the channels.

This is my 1 cent, as I'm not confident enough to throw my other penny in.
