ok, thanks b/c the radio is a 512K and that's the flashcode. All i want the AS3 to do is Astro Digital operation, and Digital ID. I'm somewhat confused, since it is a 512K and holds less memory, even though it will not be able to hold the newest host, will it be able to do digital operation. Also you indicated that this flash is for VSELP does this matter since the frequencies I want to monitor and use that are Digital are IMBE?
Thanks again!

Here's the problem, I'm trying to figure out if this radio is flashed for Astro Digital P-25 operation, or if it's just astro capable/analog only? This flashcode doesn't really help that much. According to akardam.net this flashcode breaks down to:
800001-000000-2
H15 ASTRO Data
H35 Conventional Systems Operation
Thanks Again!!!!

I've seen that code on a few eBay radios over the past year.Hightower wrote:Now there's a flash ya don't see often.
It may be possible to flash that radio for IMBE operation, some VSELP radios did have 1-Meg controllers (I have one here as proof) even if it's a 512, if you need IMBE, someone may be able to help you.

What is the host/dsp of the unit. That is important info. Hopefully you have a late model 512k radio.

I have a ex-LA CO FD astro saber II that has the same flashcode , it is 512K and has host R02.02.XX and DSP I03.04.XX. Real ancient stuff but it does analog and VSELP well.
If the OP is lucky he might get a later revision radio.
