General Dynamics Autotest Software and Problems

Post by firemedic »

Ok, does anyone have the General Dynamics autotest software? We purchased a copy to go with our R2670 service monitor that I have and every time I try to use it I get a radio communication failure. I managed to get the reference oscillator test to work once but that was it. On the same PC I can run the CPS Tuner and everything works fine. Dunno what I'm doing wrong or if I got a bad CD. The version comes up as 1.2 but the case says 1.22. Any one else have this or use it? This one is for the XTS3000/Astro Sabers and I'm trying to align astro sabers. It appears to talk fine to the Service Monitor, it's using a USB to serial adapter and the rib is direct to com1. Does a standard rib work fine with this or does it require a smart rib? OS on the PC is Windows 2000 service pack 4. Thanks!!

Are you using a real RIB and are you using test cables vs normal programming cables?

Smart rib and real factory test cables. I've got a engineer from General Dynamics helping me out. The radio locks up in self test mode when switching between tests. There trying to figure out why.
