Post by Deputy Disaster »

What is involved in this?

How much to have it done legit, and can a MSS do it?

What do you have for firmware now? Are you running into a specific problem, or?
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

A 5-30 minute rewrite of the firmware file from an SRIB to the radio while using CPS.

MSRP is $75 for the firmware up plus whatever labor cost is incurred from performing the upgrade. An MSS can do it (as can any dealer) however whether they will do it is a different story. It's an APB (Above Price Book) order which involves paperwork and approvals from Motorola.
