Is this normal? None of the front keypad, menu, volume, or mode buttons do anything but bonk. PTT and display work normally.
HHCH is a PLN7737B, XTVA is a NTN8560D, and the radio is a XTS3000 H09RDH9PW7AN, HOST 07.00.01/DSP N07.03.12

They will need programmed in CPS or RSS for the function that you want them to do.

Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

I have never seen any button selections in CPS other than the top and side buttons on the HHCH, front panel should mimic normal radio operations.

Re: XTVA HHCH buttons won't function
Yeah, I know the top & side buttons need to be programmed, but nothing on the front works either and there is no option to enable/disable those. Kinda annoying since I can't adjust the volume and it defaults to quiet.
Also, I tried a 5K VHF with R11 firmware and a 5A0001 codeplug and it worked perfectly (aside from no FPP through the HHCH, but oh well.) So I guess that points to the HOST firmware or the 1C5E codeplug in the UHF 3000.

See what I get for skimming your OP. I didn't realize the volume and front buttons didn't work.
Sounds like it's the flash in the radio that has things askew, the FW should be new enough.
