XTL 1500 service mode?

XTL 1500 service mode?

anyone know how to put the radio in service?


i looked at the manual, wasn't obvious...

I had the same question...

I believe you do the far left/far right soft keys after power up. Need to do this 3-4 times and it'll pop into service. I'll try and find the exact instructions for you, but give that a shot in the mean time. You'll need to toggle back and forth between the two, don't press them both at the same time. Power up and start with left, and if that doesn't work, try starting with the right...

Hit the power and wait 5 seconds and then hit the home button, middle button above the power, 5 times just like the spectra and so on just after power up.

If the lights are out when you leave the station and then come on the second you key up, you know you have enough power.

CoM: Doug said XTL1500 - not 2500 or 5000. There is no home key, just 4 softkeys on the front panel.

Yeah, I can't read,

The 1500 service mode is turn the radio on and then hit the two right menu keys below the display in the following sequence

3 = 4 = 3 = 4 = 3 or right = left = right = left = right

the unit should then show the ordinary service menu.
