Service mode for Astro Saber

I have UHF and VHF Astro Sabers IIIs, is there a way to "read" the radios from a service mode. Sorry if this is obvious but I am new to the Saber radios.

Well you can't read the whole codeplug (the radio's internal image and setup), however you can pull the basics like the serial, the Vocon size, and the Flash Code (the option set, or what the radio is capable of doing)

After you power up the radio, hit the side option button below the PTT, closest to the rear of the radio 5 times in a row after you turn the radio on. The information should then scroll thru the screen.
