+10/-10 MHZ Program For Saber

Post by N6LAU »

I have a VHF Saber 2 that I bought that has the 146-174 bandsplit. When I bought it I was told that it was 136-150 but that's another story. Anyhow I want to utilize it for all of 2 meters (144-148) but it won't go lower than 145. The RSS version I am using is R07.01.00. Anyhow, I know that you can use the create feature and load a personality with the 136-150 split but I've been warned against that as it will knock the tuning values out of whack and I don't have a service monitor to realign it. I was then told that there is a program that will allow the RSS to program the radio + or - 10 MHZ out of band. Does anyone happen to know the name of this software and if it is still available? If anyone has any other suggestions on how to remedy this problem I'd be grateful for any insight. Thanks.
