XTVA Mounting Options
Hey guys, how far can you run the HHCH from the XTVA? I am looking at getting an XTVA and mounting it in the back of my SUV with just the HHCH up front. Is this possible?
I appreciate the info!

Re: XTVA Mounting Options
I'm not sure what the ultimate limit is, but yes, quite a few people have installed an XTVA in the back of an SUV with the control up front. Search the installs forum for the Durango of "sglass".
I'd suspect 50 feet wouldn't be a problem.

So you have to program the XTVA as well? Is this a seperate programming cable? Or do you mean that you set it up in the XTS5000's programming?

sorry man, haven't had a chance to put new pics up.
I have it running from the back of my durango to the front - zero problems.
Since I put the console in, I dont use it much though.

I am planning on this type of install with an explorer. Curious, do you have an amplifier working with the XTVA? If so where did you place it? I was thinking under a seat in the second row, but I have no idea how hot the sink gets on them.

never put in an amp
Re: XTVA Mounting Options
I have installed many of these with a uhf TPL amp(450-512) which is what moto ships them with if so ordered. Never had a heat issueimmelmen28 wrote:sglass wrote:sorry man, haven't had a chance to put new pics up.

with them and installed them under the rear seat as you suggested. Just advise the vehicle operator not to pile up stuff on top of the
amp and they should be ok.
