Well...that got me to thinking. <Danger alert signs should be flashing now>

I may have a need for a radio that will do MPT1327, and since I'm a Jedi man at heart, I'd like to stick with a Jedi radio so spare batteries, speaker mics, etc fit the radios I'm carrying at the time. I know I can purchase other brands, I just don't want to buy/keep batteries, chargers and accessories for yet another brand/style of radio, and one that I may or may not use very often.
I've searched for GP 1200 information. I've discovered its just a 16 channel radio that can have a maximum of 4 MPT1327 systems. The 4 system limitation isn't a problem, that's far more than I'll ever need. I've also noted many comments about using parts from a GP1200 for other products since its a "cheap donor radio" and I think its the 1200 that can be upgraded to the MT2100.
Just how inexpensive are these radios? I've searched the archives here, and can't find where one has been offered for sale. I've searched the world wide bay o' fleas without much luck.
Any other info on these radios? Known problems, or anything else I should be aware of? I'm not looking for this radio to support my conventional UHF needs, I have other MTS2000's for those duties.
I'm really looking what a reasonable price might be, that information would be greatly appreciated.
