I had an xtl1500 with that firmware and it was really unusual. I would get the 01/90 error sometimes and other instances I would get a radio re-boot upon power up and no receive audio.
It was fixed this past weekend and now has 11.00.03 and I was advised by the contact in Plantation that it is a buffer overflow issue the corrupts the internal cp upon power up, or something like that.
So far so good.

12 is current (as of this posting)
When they go 01/82, they are REALLY not well and need to go back. None of the usual "keep pressing write" tricks work.
Avoid 11.00.00 at all costs...
