Jotto Desk faceplate for remote O5?

Post by Pj »

I have been given a part number of 425-6064 that Jotto has been sending out for the O5 remote head. However, they say they have not had an O5 head to "test it out" so I guess they have been going by supplied customer measurements.

Anyone know how well they actually fit, and does anyone have a picture of one installed?

It's supposedly the same as a W series bracket (what they are shipping out that "works").

I actually offered them an O5 for them to take measurements of and to test. I just wanted a bracket that they tooled and the head back when they were done. I didn't hear back from them.

Is that the W7 or W9? I haven't tried the 9 int the truck, but I know that W7 doesn't fit.

never cared enough to try.... sorry.... I got my Troy before I put in the O's, so at that point I ended up having the right bracket....

Sorry man... but I think they said it's the same as a W7... maybe they changed the holes in the side...

Thinking about it some more - they can't mean "remote mount" but probably were thinking that if you used a W7 dash mount bracket and maybe re-drilled the holes you could use it as an XTL bracket.

Either way I think the Troy would look and function much better - short of the black not really matching the console that closely.

In case anyone is interested, Jotto is not interested in making a faceplate that "Fits like a glove" like most of their other plates do. They feel as though using spacers is close enough. The plate being used was designed for some Radio Shack scanners.

Interesting, Ive used jotto faceplates with O5 heads, and have had nothing but good luck.
They seemed to fit just fine and tight around the head.
