The above mentioned flash item is available as an SP on an Astro Spectra (maybe other radios too, no clue). Does anyone know what is special about it??
No one seems to know, its been covered before but thought I would ask anyway.

I believe NJSP was even a valid SP code for the venerable STX as well...

I found W995's brother, or cousin, here:

Toward bottom of the page for Syntor X9000, refers to zone/channel module and
Securenet. Still doesn't tell me EXACTLY what it is but it's a start.

I have seen that too. The X9000 didn't come with zone/mode capable that I know of so SP would be in order for it to do that.
I have an Astro Spectra with the W995 added but I haven't noticed anything odd in the programming.

IIRC in a past thread here (awhile ago) it had to do with the MTS or MCS2000's, and whatever screwy flash that some of the hacked Astro sabers had. The decoder (at the time and I think still now) just showed that option. What the actual flash feature contained in the flashcode, never seemed to be an actual astro radio option.
