Astro Spectra mode steering by receiver channel?

Post by mancow »

If I want to put a couple of astro sabers together for a double vocoded setup... (yea I know..audio sucks..) any idea as to how to steer the thing to analog or digital automatically?

I would like to figure out a way to "sense" what mode the RX radio is on then feed that info to the TX radio to steer it to the appropriate mode that matches the modulation type.

I thought of a two channel scan list with each the same freq but different modes but still there's no way that I can see to sense which mode it's on. The busy light glows in each mode even if it's receiving the wrong modulation type so that's a no go. The display is all vacuum flourecent so I don't see a way to tap a segment programmed for a certain mode as an indication signal.

Even if all that was solved what about the TX radio? I'm looking at the channel steering, DEK, VRS, etc... options but I'm not seeing it.

Is there a way to program a pin to revert to a certain mode while held at a certain state and then revert back?
