How to hook two Quantros together

Post by oh2lak »

Hi all.

We now have two P25 repeaters in cities 150km apart. Both are made out of a Quantro.

What do we need to make them talk to each other? What we want is to enable users in both cities to talk with each other.

Astro modems or something?

..

This sound like a multicast to me. In this case, you need to hook the two Quantros to a voter. If you are using analog, you have to use something like JPS-SNV12 and hook them up via 4 wire E&M. If you are using digital, you have to use ASTRO-TAC comparator via v.24 interface.
