HT1250 LS+ Microphone Removal

Post by Vicks1 »

Hey guys,

I'm trying to recase a HT1250 LS+ (my first time. =D)and I'm having a little bit of trouble with the microphone.. I don't want to break anything.

How do you guys proceed when you have to remove it from the case?

Thanks a bunch,

Vicks

What radios do you own?: Motorola FR50!

This is the way I do it, and your results may vary so be very careful.

As i'm sure you know, the mic is attached to the flex cable that goes through the side of the radio to the accessory connector. I VERY CAREFULLY push a tiny flathead screwdriver into the rubber at the base of the microphone and twist it very gently back and forth until the mic assembly pops out of the sleeve.
