Turning off ADP by mode xts2500

Post by John »

I have an XTS2500 with ADP software encryption. I have ADP working on modes I need it for using my own key. My problem is I also have some other modes that are P25 conventional that use ADP but I don't have the key for those modes (and don't need it!). However, anytime the radio is receiving one of those modes and the other radios are transmitting ADP I get terrible noise from my radio. Is there anyway to turn off ADP pn a per mode basis? I would like ADP to work on the modes I want it to but stay off on the modes I don't have a key for and just stay muted if they go encrypted. I can't seem to figure out how to do this with the CPS (ver 9 since I have FPP).

If you check 'Proper Code Detect' on the Secure tab of the personality the audio should be muted if you have the wrong key. However doing this can slightly reduce the intelligibility of secure transmissions at the edge of your network coverage.

Unfortunatley, Proper Code Detect is greyed out on all my conventional personalities. Is there something else that needs to be changed to make this an option? Remember this is ADP and not hardware secure equipped.

Not having used ADP in anger I created a CP with it enabled and you're right no 'Porper Code Detect' option.
