Re: Astro Spectra interconnect board
It should work but if this has a keyloader port it will not work for firmware/flash upgrades as the circuits needed for that are only provided on astro spectra boards. It would still keyload the radio if the port is there.

Ok - thanks - I will try - just would´nt risk to make a paper weight out of it...
Re: Astro Spectra interconnect board
Jason;
Do you know what the P/N / rev is for the Astro interconnect? Likewise; I have an Astro Spectra Plus {{Argh!}} radio that I am working on for the FD with a bad RF board. It came from a consolette and I swapped a regular Astro Spectra with the same CP into their unit until I got the board from Motorola to fix theirs. I put the AS Plus into my Astro consolette, with my Astro interconnect to tune, and do some minor reprogramming. No dice. It won't read through my interconnect board. If I take it out as a stand alone W-7, and put a W-7 head on it; it reads just fine. I don't have a service manual on the Plus, and all MOL says is "Interconnect" Bd. Just curious? Any Astro Spectra Plus Guru's out there?
Thanks!
Jim

The only I know is that the interconn board is completely different in an consolette - to my knowledge - if you put an interconn board from an consolette on an normal remote kit for mobile/car use - you will burn it!!

Re: Astro Spectra interconnect board
Maybe for an Astro Spectra Plus, but not for a regular Astro Spectra. I have a a consolette drawer (model L04JKH9PW7AN) that I blew a T04JKH W9 codeplug into and used with a W9 head and HKN4356 cable normally with no problems at all. The front interconnect board was definitely the same one used inside the consolette case because it didn't have the rubber seal in place around the DB25s.Kenneth Jensen wrote:The only I know is that the interconn board is completely different in an consolette - to my knowledge - if you put an interconn board from an consolette on an normal remote kit for mobile/car use - you will burn it!!
