Hello,
Well, went to see a friend of mine today. He told me he got
a VHF Systems Saber. I had to check out the new toy, hehe.
When powered up, the display shows "GENERIC", then "06 01 02", then "LCD TEST". Pushing the HOME key changes it to KEY TEST, then when you push the keys on the display, it will tell you the
key you're pushing.
Anyway, it just stays in that test mode. Is this possibly an
unprogrammed radio, or it is acting really weird?
Thanks,
Marc

Re: System Saber Test Mode?
Hello All,
I have the exact same issue and will try loading a codeplug into the device on the weekend, hopefully this status is a result of a new radio with no data loaded etc???
If anyone knows how to resolve this PLEASE let me know.
Regards,
Nick.

Re: System Saber Test Mode?
Hello All,
Well I generated a new codeplug and loaded it... no more issues... unit working very well. So it would appear that this is the default behavior when the radio has an invalid CP installed.
I did try reading the codeplug in the unit initially before loading a new one but the RSS advised that it was corrupt.
I hope this helps others.
