Motorola MCS2000 Software??

Post by joshkrull »

I am needing to make some programming changes to my motorola mcs2000 radio. I am having problems. The software I have is CPS R02.00.01 and when I try to read the radio it says my radio has newer programming info. Is there a more recent version of the software? It was origionally programmed by a motorola dealer?? Can anyone help?

Another issue with the MCS2000, is that they are very sensitive to the voltage levels
from the RIB. Many of the after market RIB units won't work due to low voltages. A
true Motorola RIB will probably be needed to write to the radio. They will read fine,
but just won't write to the radio.

You should be able to download the latest version from MOL assuming you have a legal and current subscription.
