XXX.mvf file for the XTS 5000 channel Announcement
How to make the voice file to be ".mvf file" for the XTS 5000 channel Announcement... why the channel Announcement data can't save at the codeplug? it only read from the radio ...why?

It's an option in CPS. You have to have the radio connected since the MVF file is generated using the radio's vocoder (if you're going to compress voice for playback in radio, why not use the vocoder the radio already has built in in DSP)?
You ideally want to use a USB cable if you're going to do lots of voice announcements. The serial cable will be slow as hell thanks to the size of all the files.

USB is the way to go. I did a crap load of CA via serial one day, and the inital load took over 45min to write, and CPS gives you no indication of its progress (looks like its locked up).
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
