GM300 mdf file change

GM300 mdf file change
I have an old GM300 8 channel and I want it to be a 16 channel. I looked at the edit to the MDF file as listed and I changed the 08 to 10. When I install the program on my old laptop when I read the rado it gives me an error WRONG MDF FILE. I am using v5.00.00 GM300 RSS and the hex edit is new to me. Where did I go wrong ?

Sounds like you did not do the checksum correction.
