XTS5000 reboots in secure mode with speaker mic

Post by tvsjr »

OK, here's a brain teaser.

XTS5000 M3, R07 firmware, Q split. Attach a speaker mic and try to run DES-OFB/P25, the radio will reset (usually when high/loud audio is present). Take a speaker mic off and use the internal mic, no problems whatsoever.

Any brilliant ideas?

Did you ever get this resolved? There is an FSB on this.

Heh, I can't remember. It's been awhile... I think we flashed the radio up and the problem went away. What's the FSB number?

I will look it up when I get to the office tomorrow, I remember running into this and upgrading the flash is the correct solution.

I will post it when I find it (in my file which looks like a spaghetti dinner in the restaurant after the St. Valentine's Day Massacre!)tomorrow.
