Astro Spectra Flashcode... Conventional Features?

Here is a flashcode and options for a Spectra I am looking into:

FLASHCODE # 100008-000000-0 (Q806/G806 ASTRO DIGITAL CAI IMBE OPERATION - H38/G51 SMARTZONE OPERATION)

Question 1: Will it be able to do Conventional P25 IMBE?
Question 2: Will it be able to do Conventional Analog?

I recall there being a Digital Conventional option set, do you need this option set to perform conventional or can the above radio as is be manipulated to perform these operations?

You're dealing with two things here, modulation capability, and system package.

The most basic configuration for an Astro radio is Analog modulation, with a system package of H35 Conventional.

You can then add Q806 for IMBE Digital.

You could upgrade the system package to H37 (SmartNet) or H38 (SmartZone).

When you add Digital, you do not eliminate the radio's ability to do Analog.

When you add a higher level system package, that newer system package includes each system package below it.

So, if we look at it, a radio with Digital SmartZone would indeed be able to do Digital Conventional and Analog Conventional. In fact IMBE/H38 can pretty much do anything that the radio has ever been capable of.

In a nutshell, yes, this radio will do conventional analog and P25 (IMBE).
