I might be getting a 2 ch vhf P 1225, can it be blown out for more ch? do they make a yellow housing for it? Thanks

No yellow housings were made for the x1225 series, and I don't believe anyone bothered on a 2 > 16 ch hack for these, although I'm sure it's possible if someone spent a little time and worked on it.

I have never seen an alternate housing color supplied by Motorola for the P1225. If you really want a different color that bad, you may consider painting the case with a plastic enamel as some have done on the board already. The hosuing of an XTS5000 was stripped, prepped and painted with a white enamel. I have no idea how it held up but you might try playing around if you have a spare housing available.

Color is not a big deal, thought Moto might have yellow housing like xts. the main thing can a 2 ch be blown out to more ch? like the GP-300!!

2. A channel hack to upgrade the radio to 16 channels was never released. If anyone knows of one, let me know because I've got a pile of 2ch units I'd love to make 16ch units for ham radios.
