HT1000 VHF PA Help

Post by Vercomm »

Hey Guys,

I need to replace a PA on a VHF HT1000. The RF board part number is NUD7070E, my manual only shows a RF board of NUD7070C and the PA part number (U105) is 5105625U90. Is that the correct part number of is there another version of this PA I should be using for the newer style of RF board. Just to clarify, the PA on the board I'm working on has 6 legs attached to the board.

Thanks,

Jamie

If your manual also shows six legs of the PA attached to the board, then you are probably OK ordering the part number in the manual. The different board number suffix means that there was some kind of engineering change (your board is the newer version. If you bought your manual from Motorola, there should have been an addendum with the manual to show the changes.

I did get my manual from Motorola, it is probably 2 or 3 years old. I have noticed in the past that Mother /\/\ has changed parts numbers and it has been a bit of a pain in the butt if you don't have up-to-the-second manuals.

Just wondering if someone has a newer manual than me and can tell me for sure.

Thanks!!

Jamie

According to the latest JEDI service manual, the PA for your NUD7070E board is (U105) P/N 5105625U03 (5-Watt PA).

Still a six legged chip;

Part number 5105625U03 changed to 5105385Y36 a few years ago. Currently MOL shows back ordered.
