XTS2500 RSM with Man-Down button and +/- volume control

Post by EindhovenOne »

Right now I have the standard noise-cancelling RSM for use with my XTS2500. On my radio, I have the man-down button programmed to toggle scan on and off instead of the actual man-down feature. I want to buy the RSM with the men-down button and the volume control like I have for my HT1250 but I am wondering if that since I have the radio's man-down button set to toggle scan, will the same button on the RSM do the same thing, because that would be great. Thanks. -E

If you have the physical button on the radio programmed for scan on/off, then with the commander mic, it will do the same.

All the mic does it put the feature buttons/volume, etc on the mic... in case for some reason you can't reach the radio. I haven't figured out its usefulness in totality yet, but I've had one a commander mic for a while now.

Mine doesen't work that way. Mine acts as if it is not programmed at all. Newest host/dsp on the radio as well.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

The emergency mic (RMN5038) is not a Commander microphone

Also, the Commander mics and their special functions are not compatible with the 2500.... only the GPS mic
