CM 200 COR problem

Post by cseifert »

I am trying to hook up a CM 200 to a in vehicle patching system. The system has 3 other radios 2 erricson and 1 motorola that all work fine. Problem I am having is that the CM200 cor outut does not go to ground when a carrier is detected. There is not enough change in state for the patching unit to work. I already tried puttting a bias resistor in to drag the voltage down but this does not work.. Any way to make the COR output go to ground when a carrier is recieved????????????????

It's possible to program any of several accessory connector pins for
CSQ or PL/CSQ/TG outputs. Have you programmed an accessory connector pin(an output) for the CSQ function, and if so, which pin?
The outputs are pretty much open collector, so you may need a pullup resistor to +5 or +12 - depending on your interface - to see the change. If it's programmed correctly and the associated output transistor is working, you *will* see the voltage swing that you need. I've done it many times with no problems.

I had the it programmed for pin 4. Talked to Motorola dealer and they said pin 4 doesn't always work correctly, programmed it for pin 14 and everything working fine.
