It seems that you can drag/drop from portable to mobile, but I can't get anything from mobile to portable (which I would like to do).
Is there a work around, or a cheat to this?

Re: Drag/drop between Mobile and Portable ASTRO25?
I found that you can't do the drag and drop to a FPP portable, if that's of any help.
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

Re: Drag/drop between Mobile and Portable ASTRO25?
Im pretty sure a top level drag and drop shoud work, the only thing that you might need to look at is the zone text and channel text sizes as i think the mobile can do 14/14 but the portable can not

I already talked to PJ before anyone replied to this thread. His portable has FPP and that is the problem. Can't drop to a FPP radio.

Just to elaborate a little more, Q53 is what's preventing a drag & drop... So a radio with Q52+Q53 in the flash will exhibit this problem.. You can still drag & drop if the radio is Q52 only with R09.xx.xx firmware / CPS..

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Yeah, its a 1st generation FPP with Q52/53.
Guess I will be doing double typing duty when I make the next master codeplugs...at least two decent sized CPS windows will fit on the screen...
Ho hum..

I have no experience with FPP, but one thing you might want to try is exporting channel info from Radio 1 to a "channel picklist" and then seeing if you can import that data from the picklist to Radio 2. This will save some, but not all, work.

This can be done but without going into detail about it, FPP won't work on the stuff you do this with.RKG wrote:I have no experience with FPP, but one thing you might want to try is exporting channel info from Radio 1 to a "channel picklist" and then seeing if you can import that data from the picklist to Radio 2.
